Join us in creating an awesome piece of fiber art. Using just the basic supplies, you will stitch and layer fibers and fabrics to create your own hand stitched art piece that can be used in many ways! The size of this project is determined by the base fabric you choose to work on.

We will probably not complete in class but you will have all the knowledge to finish it at your own pace. Along with this class, you will receive an invitation into a private Facebook group to ask questions, share your work, and visit with and view the art of other students in all of Jean Peter’s classes.

This class is pre-recorded and you will receive a link and password to access the class once your purchase has been completed.

Supplies

Base fabric  Can be anything you can sew through. Size is your choice. Sample is 21” x 13”  (Great time to use that really ugly piece of fabric you keep putting back away!) 

Strips of fabric, yarn, specialty fibers Again, anything goes … sari silk, plain yarn, fancy yarn, lace, torn up sheets, jute, etc…

Thread I would suggest lots of colors of thread if you have them, but a ball of variegated  crochet cotton or pearl cotton, or variegated embroidery floss would give you lots of colors.

TOOLS:

Scissors 

Needles:   You may want to have a few on hand just to keep moving along!!

Optional:  Straight pins or clips to hold things in place while stitching.
